It's all in the impact
A hit that feels good is a stack of small effects fired on a precise schedule. What you see
here is the original demo: every animation frame was captured from the 2015 build running live,
the sounds are the build's actual audio clips, and the layer timings come from its scene data — nine
effect layers, three audio layers, and a contact that cascades over five frames.
Two authentic details worth stealing: the hit-freeze is baked into the animation clips as a
"Hiccup" hold (the world keeps moving — only the actors stop), and the camera shake is smooth noise
with a sine-eased decay and a hard max-offset clamp, not random jitter.
Press Z for the full attack. Press 1–9 to fire one
ingredient by itself, exactly like the original demo. Untick layers below to cut them from the
full attack.
